Same-day CEREC crown questions
Does Furniss Family Dentistry offer CEREC same-day crowns?
Yes. Furniss Family Dentistry uses CEREC digital scanning, computer-aided design, and in-office milling to complete many ceramic crowns in one visit. Some cases may require a different material or laboratory process.
How long does a same-day crown appointment take?
The appointment includes preparing the tooth, taking a digital scan, designing and milling the restoration, checking the fit, and placing the crown. Timing varies by tooth and case; the office can provide a more specific estimate when scheduling.
Do CEREC crowns require a temporary crown?
Many same-day CEREC cases do not need a temporary crown because the final ceramic restoration is designed, made, and placed during the same visit.
Are all dental crowns completed in one visit?
No. Many crowns can be completed in one visit, but certain clinical situations or material choices may require a laboratory-made crown and a second appointment. Dr. Furniss will explain which approach fits the tooth.
Does dental insurance cover a same-day crown?
Coverage depends on the diagnosis, your plan, deductible, annual maximum, and benefits. The office can help estimate your coverage, but the insurer makes the final payment decision.
